Joint Care

Maintaining comfortable, mobile joints is all about keeping your joint cartilage healthy. Cartilage – the “shock absorber” between the bones – cushions your joints, keeping them mobile. Unfortunately, daily life (or the occasional sports injury) can wear away at your cartilage, breaking it down.

When you were young, that probably wasn’t a problem – your body was constantly rebuilding damaged cartilage using two compounds it produced naturally: Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin; plus minerals like copper, manganese, zinc, selenium and boron. As you grow older, however, your body produces less glucosamine and chondroitin; and not everyone gets enough joint health minerals in their diet to keep up with cartilage breakdown.
